Capital Plaza Hotel – Jefferson City, MO
There are so many moving pieces in PR work, and as a PR pro, you juggle them all. For the 2017 Fall Conference, Mid-MO PRSA is helping you bring those pieces together. Join us Thursday, October 12 in Jefferson City for networking, and to hear firsthand what works and what doesn’t from regional and statewide media. Stay for sessions on topics that affect your day-to-day operations, from short- and long-term planning to preparing for (and managing) a true PR nightmare.
We’re proud to welcome Dr. Lynn Rossy, Gena Terlizzi and Scott Holste as speakers for the 2017 event.
Dr. Lynn Rossy Gena Terlizzi Scott Holste
Dr. Rossy, a licensed clinical psychologist, author and Vice President of The Center for Mindful Eating, will address mindfullness, focus, the ability to manage stress and how employees work together.
Terlizzi, executive director of the Missouri chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), a former reporter who crossed over to public relations and management, will share her advice for building lasting media relationships and boosting positive earned media coverage for your organization.
During more than three decades in the communications field, Holste, APR, has worked in venues as varied as a zoo, a hospital and, most recently, the Missouri Governor’s Office. Eight years as press secretary and communications director for Gov. Jay Nixon took him to every corner of the Show-Me State and five foreign countries. Holste has interacted with local, state, national and international media on everything from job announcements to trade missions to key legislation to Ferguson to historic natural disasters, including the Joplin tornado.
